Wire Room Technician
Job Purpose:
The gathering of wire and materials in accordance with customer drawings, specifications and quality requirements to produce a “Wire Kit”. Wire Kits are provided to the Manufacturing Department in a timely manner, enabling product build, which allows fulfillment of CCSI’s customer delivery schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Kit Preparation
Measure and cut wires to specified lengths.
Measure cut and prepare materials per work instructions.
Verify and install marker identifications per work instructions.
Perform periodic cycle counts.
Daily Cleaning
Sweep, clean and organize work areas.
Dump and remove personal trash cans, daily.
Return work instructions, materials, and tooling to designated areas when no longer needed.
Safety
Adhere to organizational safety standards.
All other duties as requested or assigned to include:
Cable Pull Back.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent preferred.
Math skills required with the ability to work with fractions and decimals.
Ability to work with measuring equipment (ruler, tape measure, calipers).
Ability to read and understand work instructions.
Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
Ability to safely use specified hand, air, power tools, and machinery.
High attention to detail.
Communication Skills:
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Working Conditions:
Occasional overtime required.
Work area can be crowded with totes and rolls of cable wire.
Work is performed in a climate-controlled facility.
Limited exposure to moderate noise levels may occur.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires standing for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects.
Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
Direct Reports:
This is not a supervisory position.
