Quality Inspector
Job Description:
A Quality Inspector monitors the quality of incoming and outgoing products. They ensure that production workers make product according to the customers specs, engineering drawings, and work instructions, meeting quality standards and are free of defects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform daily inspections on in-process materials and final assemblies.
Preform measurements in standard and metric units.
Verifies tools encompass current calibration dates.
Identify and segregate damaged/broken tools.
Verify compounds and substances are within established expiration dates.
Find, report, and disposition non-conformances.
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be IPC 620 certified.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a Quality Manufacturing group.
Ability to read and understand basic assembly engineering drawings, work instructions and customer specs.
Intermediate working familiarity of computers to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
Math skills, to include the ability to measure in standard and metric methods.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Certification from following courses: AS9001, and or J-standard.
