Manufacturing Supervisor
(Mid-Shift 1-10PM)
Job Description:
The Manufacturing Supervisor helps manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results. This individual enforces company policies and guidelines, assists with the training of employees and evaluates the condition of production equipment and tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule monitoring
Meet with MFG Manager, and Line leads daily to review production status and schedule changes.
Communicate with Operations Manager and Manufacturing Manager regarding potential delivery delays.
Communicate with Program Managers and Manufacturing Manager, regarding material or parts shortages.
Streamlining Build Philosophies * Arrange production lines with the intent of eliminating as much waste as possible.
Communicate to Engineering modification that may be required to documentation.
Coach Manufacturing personal on the fundamentals of Lean Manufacturing traits.
Troubleshoot test failures.
Analyze root cause of defects and non-conformances.
Training
Determine training requirements of line leads and manufacturing employees
Regulate the completion of employee training to include verification of the effectiveness of training
Ensure that all training is properly documented with forms submitted to HR department for retention
Employee Evaluations
Probationary
Annual
Safety * Adhere to and monitor employee’s participation with established safety standards
All other duties as requested or assigned
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent preferred.
· Minimal 1 years of experience in cable/harness manufacturing with advanced knowledge and understanding of cable/harness assembly.
· Proficient in the knowledge and use of ERP system
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word software
· Advanced knowledge and understanding of cable/harness assembly, machinery and equipment.
· Able to read and interpret Customer drawings.
· Must be well organized, self-starter
· Experience in a leadership role
· Math skills required with the ability to work with fractions and decimals
· Must know how to read and use measuring equipment (ruler, tape measure, calipers)
· Cable/harness manufacturing: 1 year (Required)
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Leadership/supervisory: 1 year (Preferred)
