Electro-Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

Read blueprints and other design documents to aid in mechanical assembly; design, testing and manufacturing electronically controlled mechanical systems. An Electro-Mechanical Engineer has the responsibility to direct and coordinate activities of the engineering department; monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing parts and systems to include failure analysis.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports program requirements for cable harnesses, developing fixtures, drawings, tooling requirements, and work instructions. 

  • Prepare technical reports to document project status and issues for management and customers. 

  • Participate in Engineering problem resolution. 

  • Develop or provide input to mechanical engineering related QMS processes, procedures, and work instructions. 

  • Interact with customers, vendors and third-party representatives related to product design. 

  • Work with Quality and Manufacturing staff for optimum product development. 


Qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Bachelor’s degree within associated field, or minimum of 2 years work related experience. 

  • Knowledge of mechanical Engineering discipline as it relates to cable harness manufacturing. 

  • Working knowledge of CAD skills. 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Windows, and Excel Spreadsheets. 

  • Experience with over-molding preferred. 

  • Strong background in mathematics and mechanics.
